“ Shane…..Thank you for a wonderful fishing experience.  Not only was it exciting for each of us to catch our first Sturgeon (including my wife’s 45 incher) and trophy Goldeye, we appreciated your friendship, interest, knowledge & professionalism in creating a most enjoyable and memorable day for us.  We also appreciated your impressive knowledge of the River as well as the professional organization of your equipment that kept us fishing in the right spots for this amazing prehistoric fish (in the company of Pelicans, Eagles & deer, to boot !!). You had both the interest and the skill to make our day on the North Saskatchewan a highlight of our two-month western trip.   P.S….you also take great pictures !!  “

A day of fishing on the river is a truly wonderful experience and good for the soul.  I've had family, customers and co-workers on the river this summer and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed their trips.  The river provides a great fishing experience which is different everytime.  Your knowledge of the river, fish and the history of the area guarantees a fabulous experience.  I'm looking forward to my next big catch!

Hello Shane,

Thank-you for the lovely boat tour & the knowledgable commentary that you gave us today! I had no idea we had so many varieties of birds living on the north Sask river!!

This was a great way to show our guest from Germany both our history & our present beautiful country.

Hi Shane, thanks for the awesome day on the river.  It was great to finally catch and see sturgeon for the first time.  Amazing walleye fishing, surely the most fish I have ever caught in one day.  Best of luck to you this summer.

Amy Wolski: Media Relations Coordinator

Hi Shane,

Just a quick note to thank you for your participation in last weekend’s media trip. We really appreciated your guiding expertise and extensive knowledge of the area. The group was very pleased with the entire experience and I think all of Kalyna Country delivered more than was expected. I’ll be in touch with any specific feedback and any resulting coverage. Thank you for the photos as well.

We look forward to working with you more in the future.  All the best with your tours this summer!

Amy

Vern McClelland: Great Day on the Water

Three of us went fishing with Shane in June, 2008 to pursue the mysterious sturgeon.  Not only did we catch sturgeon in several locations, we got a great tour of the River up to Lindbergh and some history lessons along the way.

You really haven't fished until you have experienced a 40 lb sturgeon doing a tail walk on you!

Great value, recommend it to anyone who lives the outdoors.

Debi and Bill Baillie: Our new Annual vacation

I went to Lea Park for a week out the city & to visit with an old friend. While there, I got together with Shane from Iron River Ranch & his family.I had such a wonderful time that as soon as I got home planned a trip back with my husband. We really didn't know what to expect on our evening boat trip, but Shane's knowledge of the History, the River & Nature exceeded all our expectations.  We had been transported back to a time of simple pleasures. The sound of the river, the sun slowly going down, seeing beaver, eagles, buffalo and birds to numours to mention. [Shane can identify them all for you]The evening ended with good conversation around a campfire.  The experience?  Well, that is to continue this year with our next trip. I have made it my project to let one and all know about this close to home vacation. I have told friends, co-workers and even my City Transit buddies all about it. I even have the Kaylna magazine with me to show them, of course earmarked to Iron River Ranch Wilderness Adventures.
